Of these, 17 species are recorded for Israel, 10&nbsp;for Egypt, 4&nbsp;for Turkey, 3 for Iran; 2 for each of Cyprus, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates, and 1 for Oman. No data are available for Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Qatar, Syria and Yemen. Ten new species are described, including 5 from Israel (<em>Apodacra idiopatica</em> sp. n., <em>A. melanura</em> sp. n., <em>Xeromyia moderabilis</em> sp. n., <em>X. nahalica</em> sp. n., <em>Xerophilomyia</em><em> nigritarsus</em> sp. n.), 2 from Saudi Arabia (<em>Xeromyia jeddaense</em> sp. n., <em>X. ponti</em> sp. n.), 1 from Cyprus (<em>Xerophilomyia</em> <em>famagustica</em> sp. n.), 1 from Egypt (<em>Apodacra firanensis</em> sp. n.), and 1 from Oman (<em>Xeromyia omanica</em> sp. n.).
